We are an Indonesian restaurant that highly values the art of cooking with authentic asian spices, while ensuring the presentation of our food is maintained. Charcoal has been around and stayed located in the heart of Auckland "Albany" since 1990. We warmly welcome you to try our variety of Indonesian dishes. Feel free to drop in suggestions in the box on your way out of our restaurant. There are over 9 family dinner tables and 6 double seater tables. A huge space for family gatherings, dinner parties and more.

Our cooking is described as authentic and pure. We use traditional recipes that have been developed in Indonesia and incorporate newly developed ingredients to enhance a more exotic flavour. Feel free to visit us and ask about our membership cards. You can collect points and even redeem you and your family a free meal.
